1. Ordering & Payment

Who can order from Playwrite?

We supply a wide range of businesses and organisations such as wholesalers, retailers, garden centres and schools. We also supply charitable and fund raising organisations such as PTA's and community groups. We do not supply direct to the public for personal use.

What is your minimum order?

To put it simply, we do not have one. Carriage is charged on certain orders, more information can be found below.

Do I need an account?

Yes you will need to register a web account in order to view our prices and place orders. Credit accounts are available on application once we have established a trading relationship.

Do you do drop shipping?

We do not offer a full drop shipping service but we are more than willing to send goods direct to third party addresses under plain cover and without paperwork. Please email if you wish to discuss this further.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit card, cheques and bank transfers.

2. Delivery

How much will delivery cost?

For all UK mainland and Northern Ireland orders, unless specified otherwise we aim to despatch within 3 days of receipt of order, but this is not guaranteed.

Delivery cost is based on geographical location.

UK Mainland - Orders under £100 will be charged £5.99 (inc vat). Orders over £100 are sent free of charge.

Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Scilly Isles - Orders under £350 will be charged £18.00 (inc vat). Orders over £350 are sent free of charge.

Republic of Ireland (Southern) & European Orders - Due to Brexit and the increased costs in carriage we will now be calculating delivery costs on an order by order basis. Please email your order to our sales office and we will calculate the exact cost for you -

Returns & Damages

All consignments are checked at our warehouse before despatch. Deliveries must be checked and signed for. Any shortage from, or damage to cartons must be noted on the carriers delivery sheet when the goods are signed for. Signatures with the remark "Unexamined" are of course not acceptable. Claims for damage or pilferage must be made in writing within 3 days of the date of the invoice and for non-delivery or short delivery, within 7 days of the date on our despatch note or invoice.

3. Pricing & Packing

Do you offer discounts?

For every product we sell there are three prices available depending on quantity ordered. This is a sliding scale and its aim is to reward customers willing to buy larger quantities with a better price. There are prices available for - split carton, 1 carton and 5 cartons per product. There are a handful of items that do not display a pallet price, such as marbles, this is due to the fact that a full pallet of these items is too heavy for our courier to handle. Occasionally there will also be products that only have a price for split carton and single carton quantities. This is because they are clearance items and the price has already been lowered so further discounts are not available.


All our prices are shown excluding VAT which will be added to your basket at checkout. For overseas customers and non EU countries, VAT will be removed or refunded once proof of export or a valid VAT number has been received.

Do you run promotions and special offers?

Yes. We have set up the Playwrite Toy Club which, periodically, will be issuing discount codes and special offers, please click on the link on the home page to sign up. We will also be running promotions through our Facebook page.

Catalogues and Samples

We tend to print one main catalogue per year with 'top up' leaflets throughout the year when necessary. Samples are available upon request.

How does your pricing and minimum order work?

All our prices are 'per unit of issue'. For example - 300-002 playing cards are packed 1 dozen per inner box and the minimum order is 1 box at a price of £3.36 per dozen. This means each individual pack of cards is £0.28, the price then reduces depending on the quantity ordered.

We use 5 different units - dozens, pieces, hundreds, gross (144) and bags. If anything is in anyway unclear please contact the sales office and they will be happy to help.


If you use an Epos system and you require barcodes please contact the sales office or look in our catalogue as we print all barcodes in there.

Product Safety

We take this extremely seriously and all our products conform to EU toy safety regulations and carry the CE mark where necessary. If you have any specific questions please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

4. Returns Policy

Please be aware that returns will only be accepted on purchases made within the 12 months prior to claim. Anything outside this window will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued for claims with an ex vat value of less than £10 and all refund items must either be returned to our warehouse or inspected by one of our sales reps.
